The idea of a new, thriving church in Midtown was a vision long before Christ Redeemer Church was born. Rev Jim Bryars desired to see more gospel-centered churches planted throughout Mobile and from this vision, Jim and his leadership team planted Grace Community Church, PCA in 2001. As the Lord has continued to grow Grace Community, the opportunity opened up for a new church in Midtown.

At Christ Redeemer we believe that ministry is best done through local churches where the good news and heart of Jesus can be brought up-close to our neighbors and community. We believe as the Midtown and Downtown areas of Mobile grow and thrive so too should the faithful presence of the Christian community as she seeks the good of the city by loving her neighbor and serving her community. We long to be a community where all are welcome, but  especially a place that expands through people who are newly found in Christ.
